Who We Are

The Miskwabi Area Community Association (MACA) is a volunteer organization representing seasonal and permanent residents around Long, Negaunee, Wenona, and Miskwabi Lakes. These lakes form the head waters of the Burnt River system in the Haliburton Highlands.

Formed in 1974, MACA is a non-profit organization run by a volunteer Board of Directors. Through advocacy and stewardship, our goal is to advance the recreational, environmental, and other shared interests of our members. We want to ensure that the generations to come appreciate what has been preserved so that their families can enjoy these beautiful lakes too. We are governed by a set of detailed By-laws.

MACA represents the interests of cottagers and residents of Long, Negaunee, Wenona, and Miskwabi Lakes in Haliburton County, Ontario.

We love our lakes, and all are welcome to join our association. If you would like to become a member of MACA, or if you are already a member and would like to renew your membership, visit the Membership page using the tabs at the top of the site. You can join or renew online with your credit card.
